Thomas Jefferson took a razor and some glue to craft his own version of the Bible excluding all mention of prophecies, miracles or supernatural events with the idea of keeping only the moral core of the teachings of Jesus. With Grumpy Daruma I’ve tried to apply the Jefferson Technique to the teachings of the Buddha by making a minimalistic game that works as a summary of Buddhism without any mumbo-jumbo. You have to climb up a very narrow tower finding many verses from the Dhammapada (the most widely known sacred text from Buddhism) along the way, until you get to the Thousand-Petaled Lotus of the Heart at the top and receive enlightenment. It will not be so easy because you play a Japanese Daruma doll (a clumsy and heavy head with an angry look).
